Food Hygiene


The food hygiene program ensures food establishments, regulated by the Department of Health (DOH), operate in a safe and sanitary manner in compliance with all applicable regulations. Food service facilities inspected by DOH are: school cafeterias, day care centers, bars, movie theaters, assisted living facilities, hospitals, and nursing homes. The Florida Department of Health in Gulf County also investigates all illness complaints involving foods or beverages.
