What is Healthy Families?
Healthy Families is a program that provides families with useful, up-to-date information on child development and parenting.

What types of services does Healthy Families provide?
Healthy Families services are delivered primarily through home visits with parents and children. During a typical home visit, parents can learn activities to help strengthen children's brain and language development. Home visits allow Healthy Families to provide information of specific interest to individual families. Home visit topics and activities include:
  • Information on baby/child development
  • Developmental screenings
  • Information on teaching with love
  • Information on baby and child temperaments
  • Home safety and child-proofing tips
  • Tips for reducing stress
Who is eligible for Healthy Families services?
Families who reside in Gulf County and who are expecting a new baby or have a child under 3 months old are encouraged to contact us for more information.

Are there any fees for the services provided?
No. All Healthy Families services are FREE and VOLUNTARY.
