What is the State Health Assessment?

A state health assessment report results from a collaborative, systematic process to collect, analyze, interpret and use data to inform and mobilize communities, develop priorities, gather resources, and plan actions to improve the public's health. Because it provides essential information for discussion, prioritization and action, a state health assessment process is the foundation for improving and promoting the health of Florida's residents.  Subject matter experts from across a diverse group of partners conducted the four types of assessments you see below. Individually, each assessment yielded an in-depth analysis of factors and forces that impact population health. The four assessments taken together contribute to a comprehensive view of health and quality of life in Florida and constitute Florida's State Health Assessment report.
