Annotated text transcript: Welcome to EMSTARS computer based training. In this lesson we will go over installing the FileZilla client FTP software. If you are already familiar with installing downloaded software, you may continue to the next lesson. Also, check with your local IT administrator to be sure that they do not already have FTP client software that you should be using as part of your local policies and procedures. Click anywhere to continue... To install the client software, you need to find the location where you have downloaded the setup files. Double click on the setup file to start the installation process. Click on the setup file to continue... Depending on your operating system settings, you may recieve a security warning dialog, like the one shown here. It is safe to click on the run button to install the software. Click the run button to continue... When the setup starts, you must accept the license agreement to install the software. Click the I agree button to continue... The installation options screen allows you to install the software based on who is using the computer. Note that the option to install for all users, requires that you have administrator priviledges. If you do not have administrative priviledges, select the only for me option. Click the next button to continue... The component selection screen allows you to select the components of the software you wish to have installed. You should, at a minimum accept the default selections on this screen. Optionally you can have an icon placed on your desktop, by selecting the desktop icon checkbox. Click the next button to continue... The install location screen, allows you to select where the software will be installed. Unless you need to change the location, accept the default. Click the next button to continue... The start menu folder screen, allows you to select where, and what name, the start menu shortcut for the program will have. Choose the default for this screen. Click the install button to continue... While the software is installing, progress will be shown. Remember, this is only a demonstration, and the software is not actually being installed. You must complete the steps shown in this demo, on your own. When the installation comletes successfully, you will come to the folowing screen. Had there been any installation problems, this screen would explain them to you, for further action. Click the close button to continue... Finally, you may receive a screen requiring you to reboot your machine, in order for the software to function properly. Please follow any further directions. This concludes this demonstration.
