Hearing the news that you've contracted an STD can be a devastating blow both physically and emotionally. With all the thoughts racing through your mind, the toughest one to grasp will no doubt be telling your partner the news so they can get tested. STD screening is available at Florida Department of Health in Volusia Health Centers on a walk-in basis, no appointment is necessary. Specially trained healthcare providers and staff are available for evaluation, screening and appropriate treatment for common sexually transmitted diseases such as chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis. As a part of STD screening we also provide 100% confidential routine HIV antibody screenings

STD Screenings

  • Chlamydia (Urine / Culture)
  • Gonorrhea (Urine / Culture)
  • HIV (Blood Test)
  • Syphilis (Blood Test)
  • Other STD screenings will not be conducted, and patients will be referred to their medical home for further evaluation.

STD Counseling and Treatment

Clinicians as well as Communicable Disease Specialists are available to educate you about each sexually transmitted disease and ways to prevent infection.

STD Partner Notification

Partner notification is a process where sex partners are contacted by the health department and notified that they have been exposed to a sexually transmitted disease. This information is confidential and the person who gave their name will remain anonymous.
