CHOICES Health Education and Wellness offers a worksite wellness program for businesses and private companies around Alachua County. Daily work routines and family schedules offer little time or opportunity for many people to participate in daily physical activity. A growing number of employers understand the value of offering a wellness or healthy lifestyle activity at the worksite for their employees.
Topics can range from fitness, weight management, nutrition, stroke and heart attack information, hypertension and blood pressure management, or other men's and women's health issues ranging from breast health, osteoporosis, colorectal cancer and heart disease. The goal is to increase the number of opportunities an individual can have weekly to participate in a physical activity during work and to offer information and education on healthy lifestyle practices.
