The Quitline is a service of the Florida Department of Health and is accessible to any Florida resident who is ready to make the commitment to quit smoking.
The program offers:
· A toll-free, phone and web-based counseling for youth and adults.
· 5 proactive counseling sessions (10 for pregnant women)
· FREE nicotine patches, gum, or lozenges (while supplies last)
· Online resources at Tobacco Free Florida's website,
· Counseling and materials in English and Spanish, with additional translation services for all languages and TDD for the hearing-impaired.

The Tobacco-Free Partnership's goals are to prevent initiation of tobacco use
among youth and young adults, create tobacco-free policies to protect everyone
from secondhand smoke exposure, and to increase the number of people who receive
information about quitting tobacco use.

BE THE VOICE OF YOUR GENERATION
Florida's statewide youth organization working to mobilize, educate, and equip Florida teens to revolt against and de-glamorize "Big Tobacco". We are a united movement of empowered youth working towards a tobacco-free future.

*Citrus High School
*Inverness Middle School
*The Salvation Army, and
*home-school based community SWAT club working on tobacco awareness and policy change.

We have worked with the Citrus County Board of County Commissioners to pass a resolution discouraging the sale of candy-flavored tobacco, and proclamations were given to us by the City of Inverness on Oct 16th 2012 and by the City of Crystal River on December 10th 2012.

We are currently working with Property Management Companies and Assisted Living Facilities to make more Multi-Unit Housing facilities smoke-free. Smokeless tobacco is the unseen killer of the tobacco family. You see the ring in the back pocket of several pairs of jeans and you see the water bottle wrapped in tin foil, but you don't see the smoke. What you do see, however, are the horrifying effects that smokeless tobacco has on your mouth, tougue, gums, teeth and throat. Smokeless tobacco is NOT a safe alternative to cigarettes.
