School Health

FDOH Walton County School Health

School Health Services are provided in Walton County through a collaborative effort between the Walton County School District and Florida Department of Health in Walton County.  The school health planned strategies are to implement activities mandated by law and to ultimately improve the health of Walton County students and improve student success in school.  

Who provides the money for school health services?  The Florida Department of Health manages the School Health Services Program in cooperation with the Department of Education.  Funding for services in Walton County comes from a variety of sources. These sources include the Board of County Commissioners, Walton County School District, federal and state funding, and grants.
