Florida Asthma-Friendly Child Care Center Training and Award

An online Asthma-Friendly Child Care Center training and recognition opportunity are available to help child care providers in Florida learn how to provide the best possible care for children with asthma.  Child care professionals can earn 1 in-service credit hour by completing the free online training.  Child care centers meeting criteria for execellence in asthma management can be recognized at the bronze, silver, gold, and platinum level.

Recognized Asthma-Friendly Child Care Centers in Florida

The Florida Asthma Coalition has awarded 10 child care centers, and many more centers are on their way to achieving this award.  These are centers where administrators, staff, families, and clinical partners are working together to help children with asthma properly manage their disease.  The coalition has mentors across the state ready to help child care centers through the application process.  To sign-up for a mentor, or to view the list of the awarded centers, visit the Florida Asthma Coalition's Child Care Center Webpage.
