Asthma Data and Surveillance
Data are compiled and used by the Florida Asthma Program to assess the burden of asthma in Florida, and to monitor and evaluate the impact and effectiveness of efforts over time. Data are distributed for use by stakeholders, including public health partners, policy makers, and health care providers, to improve asthma outcomes and reduce costs to individuals and health care systems in Florida. Data related to adult and child prevalence and associated risk behaviors, emergency department visits, hospitalizations, mortality, and program specific data are available at the state and local levels.
