Provides diverse, high quality references about viral hepatitis through the identification of information and applications already developed by myriad organizations throughout the state and the country.

Medical Advocates for Social Justice

The mission of Medical Advocates for Social Justice is to advocate for and facilitate access to timely and appropriate healthcare for all who have or are at risk of life-threatening endemic and epidemic infectious disease and who are disenfranchised from such access because of poverty and/or discrimination. 

Hepatitis B Foundation

Foundation dedicated to finding the cause and cure for hepatitis B through education, research and patient advocacy.

2-1-1 Big Bend

Offers telephone counseling, crisis intervention, community information and referrals.

American Liver Foundation

Provides education on hepatitis A, B and C, as well as information on advocacy and research for hepatitis.

Immunization Action Coalition

Provides information about childhood and adult vaccinations for hepatitis A and B.

Hepatitis Foundation International

Provides information and educational materials about hepatitis A, B and C.

National Digestive Disease Information Clearinghouse

Part of the National Institutes of Health that conducts and supports biomedical research, disseminates research findings and health information to the public. Part of the U.S.  Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

Gay and Lesbian Medical Association

Provides information about hepatitis A, B and C and common issues associated with HIV/AIDS. Also provides referral information for patients seeking gay and lesbian friendly health care professionals.

Financial Assistance Websites

Medicaid

Medicaid has eleven area offices that serve as local liaisons to providers and recipients. The area offices handle claims resolution and gives assistance to those trying to get Medicaid at the local level.

HCV Advocate

Provides education, support group and treatment information about hepatitis C and HCV/HIV co-infection.
