Health Resources

The adverse health outcomes associated with damp indoor environments and mold are summarized in a table from the Centers for Disease Control.  Sometimes your primary care provider is uncertain of the cause of the symptoms you may be experiencing.  In those cases, you may request a referral to an appropriate medical specialist (i.e., allergist/immunologist, etc.). However, it may be difficult to find physicians specializing on indoor environmental contaminants in your neighborhood. The following links provide sources that you may use for locating such specialists:

American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine
ACOEM's Physician locator

Association of Occupational and Environmental Clinics
AOEC Member Clinic directory

American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology
