Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) – Oral Health contains information on oral health programs, water fluoridation, dental sealants, oral health data, infection control guidance, and research reports.

Healthy People 2030 – Oral Health consists of goals and objectives to decrease oral health diseases, increase access to preventative services and dental care, and improve dental public health infrastructure.  

National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) is the federal government’s lead agency for scientific research on dental, oral, and craniofacial health and disease.

US Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) contains information on dental care coverage through Medicaid, Medicaid services utilization data, and oral health initiatives to improve the access of dental services.

US Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) – Oral Health provides many resources on oral health programs and policies, oral health workforce, Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs), oral health data, and grants.

Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has the primary role of regulating public water systems in Florida under the Source and Drinking Water Program. Its website provides information on Florida’s public water systems and their fluoridation status.

American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) is a non-profit professional association representing the specialty of pediatric dentistry and provides resources for professionals to improve the oral health of children. 

American Association of Public Health Dentistry (AAPHD) is a non-profit professional organization that provides a focus for meeting the challenges to improve the oral health of the public.

American Dental Association (ADA) is the world’s largest and oldest national dental association with over 160,000 members, and promotes good oral health habits to the public while representing the dental profession. The Florida Dental Association represents Florida’s dentists and has more than 8,100 members. 

American Public Health Association (APHA) is a non-profit organization that strengthens the public health profession and improves the public’s health by advocating for science-based public health issues and policies.

Association of State and Territorial Dental Directors (ASTDD) is a national non-profit organization representing the directors and staff of state public health agency programs for oral health.

Bright Futures at Georgetown University provides an oral health pocket guide that is designed for health professionals when addressing the oral health needs of pregnant and postpartum women, infants, children, and adolescents.

Florida Association of Community Health Centers contains resources on dental services provided by Florida’s Qualified Health Centers.

Florida Dental Hygiene Association (FDHA) represents more than 12,000 Florida’s dental hygienists and provides continuing education to members and supports programs that inform other health care providers of the services offered by dental hygienists.

Florida Public Health Association (FPHA) serves Florida’s public health professionals and students through advocacy, professional development, and networking to improve Florida’s health.

Florida Health Institute for Health Innovation (FIHI) is a non-profit that conducts community-focused research and evaluation while providing impartial analysis of policy impacts on health and collective well-being.

Hispanic Dental Association (HDA) provides service, education, advocacy, and leadership of overall health of the Hispanic and other under-served communities.

National Dental Association (NDA) promotes oral health equity among people of color, advocating for the needs of mentoring dental students of color, and raising the profile in our communities.

National Maternal and Child Health Oral Health Resource Center (OHRC) is a national center that contains oral health technical assistance, training, and resources for professionals who work with the maternal and child health population with the goal of improving oral health services to pregnant women, infants, children, and adolescents, including those with special health care needs.

National Network for Oral Health Access (NNOHA) provides resources and learning opportunities, collaboration, research and support in running effective oral health safety-net programs in order to improve the oral health of underserved populations.
