The American Indian Health Advisory Committee (AIHAC) was created in 2010 to provide guidance to the Office of Minority Health on issues impacting American Indian populations residing in Florida.

Goals:

  • Develop strategies to eliminate health disparities among American Indian populations.
  • Strategize training needs for American Indian communities.
  • Identify gaps in healthcare delivery systems and develop strategies to address these gaps.
  • Facilitate partnerships that improve the health of American Indians.

The American Indian Health Advisory Committee consists of fifteen representatives from Tribes and stakeholders serving Amercian Indian communities and includes the OMH Liaison.
