Recertification Fees

Paramedics and Emergency Medical Technicians

Certified check or money order should be made payable to the Florida Department of Health.

If renewing BEFORE your certificate expires, your fees will be:
Active to Active $20.00
Active to Voluntary Inactive $50.00
Voluntary Inactive to Active $50.00

If renewing AFTER your certificate expires, your fees will be:
Involuntary to active $45.00

Certificates not renewed on time will become inactive. Those certificates will remain inactive for up to two renewal cycles (four years) before they become Null/Void.  A certificate may be reactivated in the first two years after becoming inactive, when the certificate holder pays the renewal fee and the late fee and complies with all outstanding continuing education requirements.

By submitting the appropriate renewal fees to the department, a certificate holder acknowledges all requirements for recertification pursuant to Chapter 401, F.S., and 64J-1, F.A.C.

If renewing AFTER your certificate expires, your fees will be:

By submitting the appropriate renewal fees to the department, a certificate holder acknowledges all requirements for recertification pursuant to Chapter 401, F.S., and 64J-1, F.A.C.
