DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH PROMOTES HEALTHY FLORIDA SUMMER SERIES

TALLAHASSEE—The Florida Department of Health (DOH) Office of Communications announces the launch of the "Healthy Florida Summer Series." This series will feature a new summer health topic on the DOH Online Newsroom each week throughout the season, educating Floridians on how to stay healthy this summer.

The "Healthy Florida Summer Series" will include interviews, feature stories, videos and more about the following topics:

  • Healthy Eating and Physical Activity
  • Sun and Heat Safety for Kids & Older Adults
  • Mosquito-borne Illnesses
  • Hurricane Preparedness
  • Drowning Prevention
  • Foodborne Illnesses
  • Water Safety
  • Summer Poison Prevention
