STATE SURGEON GENERAL TO ATTEND 15th ANNUAL FAMILY CAFÉ EVENT IN ORLANDO

TALLAHASSEE—The Secretary of the Florida Department of Health and State Surgeon General Dr. John H. Armstrong will attend the 15th Annual Family Café on Friday, June 7. Dr. Armstrong will be available for media questions regarding how the Department of Health serves children with special health care needs and the Department’s Healthiest Weight Initiative.

The 15th Annual Family Café is a three-day statewide event designed to provide information for families with special health care needs in Florida. The Family Café Planning Committee is comprised of family members, non-profit organizations and state agency partners. The goal of the event is to provide families with an opportunity for collaboration in a family-centered environment.
