TALLAHASSEE—The Florida Board of Optometry has launched an updated, interactive website to improve communication between the Board and those it serves. The website not only enhances transparency, it provides better service to consumers and increases the accessibility of web services.
The website encourages public feedback and includes valuable resources for Optometrists, Optometry Branch Offices, Optometry Faculty Certificate holders and consumers. The system simplifies the process of applying, renewing, or verifying a license and provides information on how to file a complaint.
“The new and improved website is an efficient tool for our licensees and other interested parties to interact with the Board,” said Chairman Timothy E. Underhill, O.D.
The Florida Board of Optometry’s new website is the fifth board website in Florida to be redesigned. Other boards who have launched new websites are the Boards of Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry and Pharmacy.
