FLORIDA BOARD OF OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY PRACTICE LAUNCHES NEW, INTERACTIVE WEBSITE

TALLAHASSEE—The Florida Board of Occupational Therapy Practice has launched an updated, interactive website to improve communication, enhance transparency and increase accessibility to web services. The website was redesigned to provide better customer service and encourage public feedback.

The Board of Occupational Therapy website features a number of valuable resources for occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants and consumers. The website also simplifies the process of applying for, renewing, or verifying a license, and provides information on how to file a complaint.

“This website is a wonderful resource that allows for an enhanced level of communication to occur between the Florida Department of Health and those we serve,” said Board Chair, Anthony J. Hicks, OTR. “It is consistent with our ongoing commitment to provide the public with the utmost accessibility to the Board of Occupational Therapy Practice.”

The Board of Occupational Therapy’s new website is the newest of eight health care profession websites to be redesigned. Other boards that have launched new websites are the Boards of Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Optometry, Massage Therapy and Physical Therapy.
