Ross Dickinson Appointed as Interim Administrator for Lake County

ROSS DICKINSON APPOINTED AS INTERIM ADMINISTRATOR FOR FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH IN LAKE COUNTY

TALLAHASSEE—The Florida Department of Health announces Ross Dickinson as the new Interim Administrator for the Florida Department of Health in Lake County. Mr. Dickinson makes his return to the Department after a five year retirement.

“Ross Dickinson is an excellent addition to the Florida Department of Health in Lake County,” said Meade Grigg, Deputy Secretary for Statewide Services. “I am confident Mr. Dickinson will continue to provide outstanding public service and have great success in this new position.”

A veteran of the Department of Health, Mr. Dickinson previously served the DOH as the Business Manager and later Assistant Director of the Florida Department of Health in Volusia, working closely with Dr. Bonita Sorensen. As a result of the commitment and drive shown by Dickinson and Sorenson, the Florida Department of Health in Volusia County was recognized as the best and most progressive county health department in Florida. In the later years of Dickinson’s 34 year career with the Department, he served as Assistant Director for the Florida Department of Health in in Orange County, under the direction of Dr. Kevin Sherin.

Mr. Dickinson fills the Administrator position previously held by Donna Gregory who had served with the Department for twelve years. The Florida Department of Health is pleased to add Mr. Dickinson to their team.
