FLORIDA BOARD OF ACUPUNCTURE LAUNCHES NEW, INTERACTIVE WEBSITE

TALLAHASSEE—The Florida Board of Acupuncture has launched an updated, interactive website to improve communication, enhance transparency and increase accessibility to web services. The website was redesigned to provide better customer service and encourage public feedback.

The Board’s website features a number of valuable resources for acupuncturists and consumers. The website also simplifies the process of applying, renewing, or verifying a license, and provides information on how to file a complaint.

“The Internet is a vital source of inquiry for consumers who are researching and becoming more aware of the benefits of acupuncture,” said Board Chair, Melody Clancy, AP, DOM. “Our new website provides consumers and health care practitioners with important, concise information in a format that is easy to navigate.”

The Board of Acupuncture’s website is one of twelve health care profession websites to be redesigned. Other boards that have launched new websites include the Boards of Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Optometry, Massage Therapy, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Hearing Aid Specialists, Osteopathic Medicine, and Athletic Training.
