Three Appointed to Council of Licensed Midwifery

STATE SURGEON GENERAL DOCTOR JOHN ARMSTRONG APPOINTS THREE TO COUNCIL OF LICENSED MIDWIFERY

TALLAHASSEE —Today, State Surgeon General and Secretary of Health Dr. John Armstrong announced the appointments of Melissa Conord-Morrow, Stephanie Wombles and Charlie Young to the Council of Licensed Midwifery.

Melissa Conord-Morrow, LM, of Lakeland is a midwife with Celebrate Birth Midwifery, Inc. She is reappointed to the seat of licensed midwife for a 4-year term beginning March 6, 2015, and ending March 5, 2019.

Stephanie Wombles, CNM, of Panama works as a midwife at All About Women. She is appointed to the seat of certified nurse midwife for a 4-year term beginning March 6, 2015, and ending March 5, 2019.

Charlie Young, LM, of Tampa is a midwife with Barefoot Birth. She is appointed to the seat of licensed midwife for a 2-year term beginning March 6, 2015, and ending March 3, 2017.

The appointments take effect immediately.
