TALLAHASSEE—In continued celebration of 125 Years of Public Health in our state, the Florida Historic Capitol Museum and the Florida Department of Health invite you to an evening with Florida's former Sectretary of Health Dr. John Agwunobi. Dr. John Agwunobi faced four major hurricanes and the nation's first-ever anthrax attach while serving as Florida's Secretary of Health from 2001–2005. Dr. Agwunobi is a 4-Star Admiral in the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps and spent nearly seven years as Senior Vice President for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. Join us as we celebrate Dr. John Agwunobi and his leadership through preparation, prevention, and response.

Event Highlights:

  • Free and open to the public
  • Complimentary drinks and hors d'oeuvres provided by Harry's Seafood, Bar, and Grille
  • Introduction by Current State Surgeon General and Secretary of Health
  • A presentation by Dr. John Agwunobi at 6:00 p.m.
  • Access to the temporary exhibit 125 Years of Florida Public Health
