Additional Appointments to the Council of Licensed Midwifery

STATE SURGEON GENERAL DOCTOR JOHN ARMSTRONG MAKES ADDITIONAL APPOINTMENTS TO COUNCIL OF LICENSED MIDWIFERY

TALLAHASSEE — Today, State Surgeon General and Secretary of Health Dr. John Armstrong announced the appointments of Robert Pearson-Martinez and David Stewart to the Council of Licensed Midwifery.

Robert Pearson-Martinez, MD, of Boca Raton is appointed to the seat of pediatric physician for a two-year term beginning March 13, 2015, and ending March 12, 2017.

David Stewart, MD, of Gainesville is appointed to the seat of obstetrics and gynecology physician for a four-year term beginning March 13, 2015, and ending March 12, 2019.

These appointments take effect immediately.

The department works to protect, promote and improve the health of all people in Florida through integrated state, county and community efforts.
