Three Appointments to Council of Licensed Midwifery

TALLAHASSEE—Today, State Surgeon General and Secretary of Health Dr. John Armstrong announced the appointments of Dana Barnes, Susan "Robyn" Mattox and Tania Mondesir to the Council of Licensed Midwifery.
Dana Barnes, MD, of Jacksonville practices family medicine in Jacksonville. She serves as the lead physician for the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and is an assistant professor at the University of Florida College of Medicine- Jacksonville. She is appointed to the seat of Family Practice Physician for a 4-year term beginning March 20, 2015, and ending March 19, 2019.
Susan "Robyn" Mattox, LM, of Orlando works as a licensed midwife with Inspiration Family Birth Center in Winter Park, Florida. She is reappointed to the seat of licensed midwife for a 4-year term beginning March 20, 2015, and ending March 19, 2019.
Tania Mondesir, RN, LM, of Miami works as a licensed midwife as the Miami Maternity Center. She is appointed to the seat of licensed midwife for a two-year term beginning March 20, 2015, and ending March 19, 2017.
The appointments take effect immediately.
