New Director of the Office of Compassionate Use Announced

FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH ANNOUNCES NEW DIRECTOR OF THE OFFICE OF COMPASSIONATE USE

TALLAHASSEE—The Florida Department of Health is pleased to announce Christian Bax, J.D., MBA, as the new director of the Office of Compassionate Use. His first day with the department will be July 23, 2015.

Bax received a bachelor's degree in economics from University of Alabama and a juris doctorate degree from Florida State University. He also earned a master’s of business administration degree from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College. 

Previously, Bax co-founded CBK Consulting, a company with expertise in navigating medical marijuana regulations in Nevada and Washington. The department is confident his educational and professional experience make him the right choice to get this product to children with intractable epilepsy and people with advanced cancer as safely and quickly as possible.
