Tallahassee, Fla.— Today, State Surgeon General and Secretary of Health Dr. John Armstrong announced the appointment of Dr. Mark Weatherly to the Genetics and Newborn Screening Advisory Council.

Mark Weatherly, MD, is a pediatric pulmonologist at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. He brings 29 years of experience in pediatrics with extensive knowledge of cystic fibrosis. He is appointed as a practicing pediatrician member for a four-year term through Oct. 1, 2019.
