TITO RUBIO APPOINTED HEALTH OFFICER IN CITRUS COUNTY

Tallahassee, Fla.—The Florida Department of Health has announced Tito Rubio as the new health officer for the Florida Department of Health in Citrus County. Since 2014, Rubio has served as the chief financial officer for the Florida Department of Health in Palm Beach County.

“Tito Rubio has been working to improve the health of Floridians for over a decade,” said Deputy Secretary for County Health Systems Kim Barnhill. “We are pleased he will continue his career with us and are confident that Tito will excel in his new role.”

Prior to serving as chief financial officer for the Florida Department of Health in Palm Beach County, Rubio served as Administrative Services Director for the Florida Department of Health from 2006 to 2014. From 2002 to 2006, Rubio was business manager for the Florida Department of Health in Indian River County. Rubio also served in the US Coast Guard as an intel watch officer from 1999 to 2003.

Rubio earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Chapman University in 1986 and his Master in Public Health from the University of South Florida in 2013.
