2014 Older Adult Falls Prevention Webcast
The 2014 Older Adult Falls Prevention Webcast, Strong Today, Falls Free® Tomorrow, occurred on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 from 10:00 AM-11:30 AM, EDT. The purpose of the program is to provide health care professionals and caregivers dealing with older adults with quality information on:
- The magnitude of the older adult falls problem in Florida;
- Using exercise to prevent falls;
- The pharmacist as a partner in prevention;
- Mobile integrated health care; and
- Reducing hip fracture risk.

2009-2014 Falls Prevention Webcasts
Every September since 2009, the Florida Department of Health and the Florida Department of Elder Affairs have hosted and annual older adult falls prevention educational webcast in recognition of National Falls Prevention Awareness Day. In 2013, the webcast was made Youtube compatible for the first time, allowing the event to be viewed online after the live webcast date.
