Florida Coordinating Council for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing

Threat Alert System

The Florida Association of the Deaf (FAD) Emergency list is an alert system to warn Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Late-Deafened and Deaf-Blind Floridians of hazardous weather such as hurricane or other disasters. You may use your pager email address for fastest response versus your pc email address. FAD is not responsible for failed message due to some pagers not receiving message. The emergency list will always be text based to ensure message will be compatible to all devices.

It is open to everyone. No email address is shared with third parties. FAD respects the rights to privacy.

People who want to sign up for the emergency alert system can contact FAD through their Facebook page.

Emergency Preparedness

Do you know how to keep yourself and your family safe in an emergency?  Florida's Department of Emergency Management has information available on the State's website www.floridadisaster.org .  We wish to thank Florida's Department of Emergency Management for giving us permission to provide a link to these very valuable videos.  Remember, government cannot do everything to keep you safe.  You must prepare, as well.
