The Rare Disease Advisory Council was established in Florida Statute 381.99. The council is comprised of 22 members, serving 4 year terms, as follows:
10 members appointed by the Governor.
6 members appointed by the President of the Senate.
6 members appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
