Welcome to the TRAIN Florida Knowledge Center
TRAIN Florida is a free source of information and training for learners and course providers, administered by the Public Health Foundation.
The Florida Department of Health became a TRAIN Affiliate to provide an online learning management system (LMS) for all public health professionals in the state of Florida.
Our goal is to provide a user friendly resource that presents public health trainings, information, and resources to develop and sustain a competent and qualified public health workforce, and to share these resources with Florida's public health community.
The TRAIN Florida Knowledge Center provides all users with access to the tools and resources they need to enhance, develop, maintain, and manage all aspects of TRAIN Florida.

Software Training to Enhance Job Skills Offered in TRAIN Florida
The FDOH Professional Development Technology Training courses are available in TRAIN Florida. This list of trainings offers computer skills to enhance expertise with a variety of computer software and technology tools. Over 300 short vidos and written tutorials are available online. These trainings can help course developers and instructional designers expand their expertise. These trainings are open to all employees.
You can locate the Professional Development Technology Training course list document in the TRAIN Florida Resource Center
- Each course tutorial can take from 1 to 15 minutes to complete.
- A 15 minute contact credit will be given for each course, allowing for practicing and applying each new tool as part of the learning process.
- Learners can add these courses to their TRAIN Florida Transcripts as Non-TRAIN Courses.
- The How to Manage Non-TRAIN Courses document will guide you through this process.
