FLORIDA BOARD OF DENTISTRY LAUNCHES NEW, INTERACTIVE WEBSITE

TALLAHASSEE—The Florida Board of Dentistry has launched an updated, interactive website to improve communication between Board members and those they serve. In addition, the website is designed to enhance transparency, provide better public service to constituents, and increase the accessibility of services.

The site contains valuable resources for dentists and dental hygienists, including the ability to apply for, renew or verify a license. New features encourage public feedback, affording constituents the opportunity to file complaints.

"We understand the importance of sharing information with the citizens we serve, and we are committed to providing this as a resource," said Chairman Daniel Gesek, D.M.D. "The new website offers clear and direct access to information about the Florida Board of Dentistry."

The new Board of Dentistry website is the third Florida health care practitioner board website to undergo a redesign, following the Boards of Medicine and Nursing.

The Department works to protect, promote and improve the health of all people in Florida through integrated state, county and community efforts.
