FIRST MEETING OF THE CHILDREN'S MEDICAL SERVICES MANAGED CARE PLAN ADVISORY PANEL ANNOUNCED

Tallahassee, Fla.—The Children’s Medical Services (CMS) Plan Technical Advisory Panel is convening its first meeting on Oct. 30, 2015, in Tallahassee. The agenda includes discussion on the plan, member and provider communication, as well as an analysis of the statewide infrastructure in place to support the CMS Plan.

The Florida Department of Health assembled the panel of experts to aid in the continued transition of CMS from a direct service provider network to a managed care plan that operates as an efficient, patient-centered plan that ensures children who need specialized services receive them.
