We recognize the need for children's dental services.  The goal of our dental clinic is to provide oral health services to the underserved population in Walton County with primary focus on children.  Our dental team consists of dentists, dental assistants, and other professionally trained staff

The Walton County Health Department Dental Clinic provides diagnostic, restorative, preventive, and educational services to children.  Because of the high demand for our dental services, for adult patients we are able to offer urgent care through referral from the Walton Community Health Center.   Appointments can be made by calling 850-892-8686. Phone lines open at 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday thru Thursday. Patients are required to keep scheduled appointments unless rescheduled or cancelled at least 24 hours before the appointment time.

periapical (of the root), panoramic (upper & lower jaw), and bitewing (back teeth)
pulpotomy
surgical removal of part of the dental pulp (soft part inside the tooth containing blood vessels & nerves)

concentrated form of fluoride applied to the smooth surfaces of teeth

a material is used to restore the function & integrityof a decaying or traumatized tooth
 
unilateral space maintainers
attach to one side of a tooth and hold the space for a permanent tooth (used when a primary tooth is lost due to accident or decay)
