Overview
The Feasible, Actionable, Impactful, Relevant (F.A.I.R.) Rural EMS Measurements Project intends to support data collection and reporting for the creation of rural-relevant EMS quality measures. The principle goal of the F.A.I.R. Rural EMS Measurement project is to improve the access to quality care, not only in Florida’s rural areas but also to develop a national model for other states to follow. FDOH will obtain this goal by utilizing an unprecedented amount of collaboration, through transparency and consensus building. This project will directly serve the needs of all rural EMS providers in Florida and throughout the nation. The F.A.I.R. Rural EMS Measures Project aims to increase the 12% of rural EMS agencies using the state-wide system for performance measurement to 100% and to validate and increase the number of EMS measures being used.
Additionally, this project intends to partner with the state’s EMS Advisory Council and the EMS constituency groups to validate measures currently being used and for the creation of new measures.
Please contact the department at EMS@flhealth.gov if you need further information about the F.A.I.R. Rural EMS Measurements Project.
