FLORIDA BOARD OF ATHLETIC TRAINING LAUNCHES NEW, INTERACTIVE WEBSITE

TALLAHASSEE—The Florida Board of Athletic Training has launched an updated, interactive website to improve communication, enhance transparency and increase accessibility to web services. The website was redesigned to provide better customer service and encourage public feedback.

The Board’s website features a number of valuable resources for athletic trainers and consumers. The website also simplifies the process of applying for, renewing, or verifying a license, and provides information on how to file a complaint.

“This new website provides a wealth of information for health care practitioners and consumers, as well as people around the country who are interested in practicing athletic training in Florida,” said Board Chair, Nick Pappas, ATC, LAT. “The website serves as one more example of how the Board continually strives to meet the mission of the Florida Department of Health: to protect, promote and improve the health of all people in Florida through integrated state, county and community efforts.”

The Board of Athletic Training’s website is one of twelve health care profession websites to be redesigned. Other boards that have launched new websites include the Boards of Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Optometry, Massage Therapy, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Hearing Aid Specialists, Osteopathic Medicine, and Acupuncture.
