TALLAHASSEE—The Florida Department of Health, Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Florida Park Service and Get Outdoors Florida! will announce the statewide launch of the Nature Play “Prescription” Pilot Project.
What: The Nature Play “Prescription” program is designed to increase physical activity among children and their families by providing access to Florida’s State Parks.
When: Thursday, April 10, 2014, at 11:30 a.m.
Where: Florida Capitol Courtyard—near Historic Capitol Museum Steps

In addition, the Florida Department of Health in recognition of National Public Health week will offer activities in the Capitol Courtyard including an interactive fitness and wellness area, healthy cooking demonstrations, free vitals check, tours of emergency preparedness vehicles, Faces of HIV exhibit, and Tobacco Free Florida information.
