Stephanie Vick Appointed Administrator for Collier County

TALLAHASSEE—The Florida Department of Health announced Stephanie Vick as the new Administrator for the Florida Department of Health in Collier County (DOH-Collier). Vick is currently serving as Interim Administrator for DOH-Collier and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with nearly 40 years of work in health services.
“I am very pleased to have Stephanie continue in this role leading the Florida Department of Health in Collier County,” said Interim Deputy Secretary for Statewide Services, Paul D. Myers. “Stephanie’s leadership and public health experience will allow her to effectively serve the people of Collier County.”
Previously, Stephanie worked at DOH-Collier as the Executive Nursing Director where she was responsible for oversight of a variety of programs. These programs include Dental, Healthy Start, Family Planning, Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening, KidCare, Teen Pregnancy Prevention, Quality Improvement, Disaster Preparedness, Immunizations and School Health.
In previous positions she served as the Director of Women and Infant Nursing at Ohio State University Medical Center and Nursing Director for DOH-Collier when it was the Florida Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services Collier County Public Health Unit. Stephanie also served as a nurse and supervisor at several different hospitals, including Naples Community Hospital. She has been an Adjunct Professor at International College (Hodges University) and Clinical Instructor at the James Lorenzo Walker Vocational-Technical School, both in Naples, Florida.
Vick is a four-time recipient of the Davis Productivity Award and served as President of the Florida Association of Public Health Nurses for 2006–2007 and 2008–2009. She is also a member of the Mental Health Association, Florida Nurses Association, Florida Health Mothers/Healthy Babies Coalition, American Nurses Association, Florida Public Health Association, Association of Women’s Health, March of Dimes and NACCHO.
Vick is a licensed RN through the State of Florida and completed her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from The Catholic University of America before receiving a Master of Science degree in health services from NOVA/Southeastern University.
