TALLAHASSEE—The Florida Department of Health announces the launch of new local health department websites. Each of the 67 local websites now offer streamlined access to the most frequently sought information and provide valuable resources for local residents.
"More Floridians rely on the web as their primary means of accessing health resources and information," said Interim Deputy Secretary for Statewide Services Paul Myers. "It's more important than ever that the Department of Health create and maintain user-friendly websites that provide real benefits to the public."
New enhancements include easy-to-find local contact information, a user-friendly upcoming-events feature, newsroom articles and easy access to public health information. The local health department websites integrate with the state website providing a unified web presence that enhances the user experience and provides visitors with easy access to important public health information at the local and state level.
Each local county health department site can be visited by going to www.floridahealth.gov and accessing the "Counties" drop down menu in the orange bar at the top of the page. The websites may also be viewed by entering county name.floridahealth.gov in the address bar of a browser window.
