STATE SURGEON GENERAL ANNOUNCES FIVE ADVISORY APPOINTMENTS

Tallahassee, Fla.—Today, State Surgeon General and Secretary of Health Dr. John Armstrong announced five appointments to the following advisory board, committee and councils:

Alzheimer’s Disease Research Grant Advisory Board:

Niharika Suchak, MBBS, MHS, FACP, Florida State University College of Medicine, is appointed as a geriatrician for a four year term through Feb. 28, 2020.

Emergency Medical Services for Children Advisory Committee:

Richard Nettles, Florida Hospital, is appointed as the emergency medical technician for a two year term through Feb. 28, 2018.

Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council:

Ann Brown, RN, MSN, CEN, EMT-P, Florida Gateway College, is appointed as the emergency nurse for a four year term through Feb. 28, 2020.

Physician Workforce Advisory Council:

Sergio Seoane, MD, private practice, is appointed as the member representing a primary care specialty and recommended by the Florida Medical Association for a four year term through Feb. 28, 2020.

Tobacco Education and Use Prevention Advisory Council:

Jennifer Johnson, MPH, Florida Department of Health for Jefferson and Madison Counties, is appointed as the county health department director for a three year term through Feb. 28, 2019.
