MEDIA ADVISORY: DEPARTMENT TO HOLD RULEMAKING WORKSHOP FOR CMS PLAN CLINICAL ELIGIBILITY

Tallahassee, Fla.—The Florida Department of Health is continuing the administrative rulemaking process regarding clinical eligibility criteria for the Children’s Medical Services Managed Care Plan (CMS Plan). The CMS Plan provides high quality, specialty health care to children with serious and chronic health care needs.

The department will host the rule development workshop on April 20 to review rules 64C-2.002 and 64C-2.003 and engage stakeholders in a discussion about the parent-based screening tool and physician attestation form used to determine clinical eligibility for the CMS Plan.

Any member of the public wishing to submit suggestions for the department’s consideration in advance of the meeting may send their comments to Kelli Stannard at kelli.stannard@flhealth.gov. Public comments will also be taken at the workshop on April 20.
