Families of critically ill children often face the challenge of finding a place to stay near their medical treatment center. Along with the effort of finding a place to stay, lodging is expensive, causing an undue financial burden on these families.

Florida’s Home Away from Home Tax Credit program seeks to help alleviate the burden by providing a tax credit for entities that support eligible charitable organizations providing free or minimal cost housing for critically ill children undergoing treatment.
