Community health workers (CHWs) are members of the community who work with the local health care system in both urban and rural environments. CHWs can use their skills to work with individuals who have Limited English Proficiency (LEP) by offering interpretation and translation services, providing health education and information, and advocating for individual and community health needs.

Refer to the resources below to see how organizations and agencies can use CHWs to support their communities.
