Minority Health Month

April is National Minority Health Month: National Minority Health Month began with Booker T. Washington advocating a National Negro Health Week in 1915. The U.S. Congress, In 2002, established a National Minority Health Month and Health Disparities Month "to promote educational efforts on the health problems facing minorities and other health disparity populations.”

Take a Loved One to the Doctor Month

Please join the statewide campaign, “Take a Loved One to the Doctor Month.” This is also a national campaign during the month of October and throughout the year, encouraging people to take charge of their  health and encourage their loved ones to do the same.
