Documentation for PI Attestation
For the convenience of our health care partners needing to attest to their engagement in public health reporting programs, we have provided a list of facilities participating in syndromic surveillance (SyS), electronic laboratory reporting (ELR), and electronic case reporting (eCR).
One of the core functions of the Florida Department of Health is to assess and monitor population health status, factors that influence health and community needs.
The following electronic public health reporting programs help us fulfill this function:
- Electronic case reporting (eCR)
- Electronic lab reporting (ELR)
- Portal (web based ELR)
- Syndromic surveillance reporting (ESSENCE-FL)
- Immunization registry reporting (Florida Shots)
- eFORSCE
The U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has incentivized participation in these programs through its Promoting Interoperability (formerly known as Meaningful Use) initiatives. For general information on these initiatives, click here. For information specific to the Medicaid Promoting Interoperability Program, which is administered at the state rather than federal level, click here.
