STATE SURGEON GENERAL DOCTOR JOHN ARMSTRONG APPOINTS DOCTOR ELENA PEREZ TO THE FLORIDA GENETICS AND NEWBORN SCREENING ADVISORY COUNCIL

TALLAHASSEE—Today, State Surgeon General and Secretary of Health Dr. John Armstrong announced the appointment of Dr. Elena Perez to the Florida Genetics and Newborn Screening Advisory Council.

Elena Perez, MD, is an Associate Professor and the Chief of Pediatric Allergy and Immunology at the University Of Miami School Of Medicine. She is responsible for the University of Miami Newborn Screening Severe Combined Immunodeficiency Referral Center. Dr. Perez is appointed as a representative of the University Of Miami School Of Medicine for a four-year term beginning July 23, 2015, and ending July 22, 2019.
