Creating a Healthy Environment
This spring, the Bureau of Child Care Food Programs will offer Creating a Healthy Nutrition Environment in the Child Care Food Program workshops. This workshop is optional to attend and will cover best practices, planning and serving healthy meals with child appeal, special needs meals, and teaching preschoolers about healthy eating habits.
This training is primarily for CCFP managers/center directors and child care staff that purchase, prepare, and serve meals to young children. Training coordinators of sponsoring organizations or other child care staff that provide training to sponsored sites are also encouraged to attend.
We will conduct the workshop in one 3 ½ hour session. If you are interested in attending this workshop, click on ‘Workshop Registration’ below. You will need your authorization number to register. After completing the online registration form, a confirmation notice will be sent to the email address you provide.
Due to limited space and the need to bring adequate materials, please register on our website at least one week prior to the date of the workshop to reserve a space in the session you wish to attend. Reservations are limited to two people per contractor, unless space allows for more. If participation warrants, we will consider adding additional workshops in select cities.
Please direct any questions to Parvaneh Yavari or Ellen MacMichael at 850.245.4323.
- NOTE: The Workshops are postponed. Please check back in early May"
