Operational procedures are in place to facilitate evaluation of the effectiveness and adequacy of Early Steps and to track and evaluate the outcomes of early intervention services. Early Steps has implemented a focused, data-driven, quantitative, outcome-based continuous improvement and focused monitoring system to determine compliance with a defined set of performance indicators and to assist Local Early Steps in achieving compliance within a specified time period. The design of the system provides for continuous improvement of the process through ongoing planning, implementing, analyzing, improving and evaluating. Each service coordinator and service provider is responsible for timely and accurate data and record keeping since these greatly impact local and statewide compliance.
