The Department offers at least three exams per year. The exams are given at different locations throughout Florida. After the department proposes a location and date, the department coordinates the final schedule with the training providers in order to offer the exam at the completion of the training course. Proposed dates and locations are subject to change.  Once an exam is scheduled, it will be offered unless canceled due to lack of demand. Anyone who cannot attend the exam after the completion of their training course, may either attend the next scheduled exam or request to take the exam in Tallahassee. The  application deadline for any exam date is two weeks prior to the exam, then we can process and approve your application, and this will allow time for you to receive the training materials to study for the exam.
